I wanted to start this blog to have a place to write down all of my favorite recipes, and to be able to share them with friends and family. I am not a chef, just a person who enjoys cooking at home. My hope is that this blog will inspire other people to cook at home more.
Here are a few things you might want to know about me and my cooking style:
1) I shop for food at three main places: Trader Joe's, Costco, and our bi-weekly organic fruit and vegetable delivery.
2) I try to eat as many organic, non-processed foods as possible, but it is definitely still a work in progress.
3) I love my organic fruit and vegetable box from www.farmfreshtoyou.com. I encourage you to look in your area and see if you have a local company that will deliver you fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms. Not only is it good for the environment, and the economy, but it also encourages me to cook with fruits and vegetables I wouldn't normally buy at the grocery store.
4) I create a lot of recipes on my own by taking two or three similar recipes, and combining them into one recipe.
5) I love garlic, mushrooms, and onions. I add them to everything. This is just a personal preference. Omit them if you so choose!
6) I love sweets. Most people know me for the desserts I make, and you will be finding some of those recipes on here from time to time.
7) I like junk food. There is just no point in trying to deny it.
8) My favorite recipes usually come from other people I know.

ReplyDeleteAmy, this may be the most clever (and devious) marketing ploy ever. Spreading your ideas over the internet, all while using food as a cover. It's genius. And I am definitely into it because I love new recipes. love cooking and love food even more.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you need any tasters!!
